Upcoming Fall 宗教 Holidays

亲爱的校园社区: 

We are coming up on a Fall season when our colleagues 和 friends from a variety of cultural communities 和 faiths will gather to share traditions, celebrations, 和 连接深度反思. 的 Office of Equity, 多样性, 和 Inclusion (ODEI), has set up an easy to follow Multicultural/Interfaith Calendar that you can add to your google calendar. ODEI encourages the campus community to consult this calendar to note ongoing cultural 和 religious observations that will continue through the rest of the academic year. If you see an observance or holiday missing from this calendar, please inform ODEI at diversityoffice@hpchina360.com.

Please note that coming up immediately, Jewish community members will observe Rosh Hashanah begins sundown on September 15th 和 ends during sunset on September 17th. Yom Kippur begins before sundown on September 24th 和 ends after sunset on September 25th. In October, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, 和 Simchat Torah will occur. 在这些 observances, usual schedules are likely to be impacted throughout the day 和 into 晚上. While there is a convergence of several of these cultural 和 religious observances during this time of year, this is also a general reminder to navigate 和 negotiate with each other with kindness 和 thoughtfulness as we move through them throughout 今年.
